Mr. Batelman concentrates his practice on patent-related matters, with a focus on domestic and foreign patent preparation and prosecution, portfolio strategy and management, and rendering of validity and infringement opinions.

Mr. Batelman’s areas of technical expertise include chemical engineering, nanotechnology, and materials.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Batelman was an in-house patent attorney at a privately held company located in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and was previously employed as an Associate at Crowell and Moring LLP, Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC, and Burns, Doane, Swecker & Mathis LLP.
