David S. Safran has over two decades of intellectual property experience. His areas of practice include Patents, Trademarks, Copyrights and Unfair Competition. He has an international practice that includes all aspects of intellectual property law, including substantial professional experience in arbitrating and mediating civil disputes, including ICANN domain name disputes. David’s practice includes all phases of patent and trademark prosecution, licensing, litigation, and validity and infringement counseling for foreign and domestic clients.

Mr. Safran joins Roberts Mlotkowski Safran & Cole from the national law firm of Nixon Peabody LLP where he was a partner in its technology and intellectual property law practice group.

Mr. Safran holds leadership positions in trademark legislation committees of the IPO and AIPLA. David was a representative of the Intellectual Property Constituency on the ICANN Names Counsel’s Transfer Task Force. Mr. Safran has been a frequent speaker at annual meetings of the Intellectual Property Owners Association and Center for International Studies. Martindale-Hubbell has given David an AV rating (highest attorney rating).

Mr. Safran received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University and a J.D. from University of Baltimore, cum laude.
