David S. Safran has over two decades of intellectual property
experience. He has an international practice that includes all aspects of intellectual property
law, including substantial professional experience in arbitrating and mediating civil disputes,
including ICANN domain name disputes. Mr. Safran’s practice includes all phases of
prosecution, licensing, litigation, and validity and infringement counseling for foreign and
domestic clients.
Mr. Safran holds leadership positions in trademark legislation committees of the IPO and
AIPLA. He was a representative of the Intellectual Property Constituency on the ICANN
Names Counsel's Transfer Task Force. Mr. Safran has been a frequent speaker at annual
meetings of the Intellectual Property Section of the ABA, American Intellectual Property Law
Association, Intellectual Property Owners Association and Center for International Studies.
Martindale-Hubbell has awarded Mr. Safran an AV rating (highest attorney rating).
