Mr. Gendzwill, a registered patent attorney, concentrates his international practice on patent-related matters with a focus on client counseling, portfolio strategy and management, domestic and foreign patent preparation/prosecution, due diligence, and enforcement. Mr. Gendzwill also has extensive experience preparing complex patentability, invalidity, non-infringement, and freedom-to-operate opinions as well as state-of-the-art analyses. In addition, Mr. Gendzwill counsels clients on international filing strategies.

Mr. Gendzwill’s areas of technical expertise include: chemical engineering, chemistry, nutritional/pharmaceutical supplements, mechanical and biomechanical engineering, nanotechnology, physics, composite materials, medical devices, and life sciences.

Mr. Gendzwill is a frequent speaker on many issues relating to intellectual property law including post-Bilski business method practices and joint infringement jurisprudence.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Gendzwill was employed as a patent attorney at the Washington, D.C. office of a large, Chicago-based firm and at a mid-sized firm in Michigan. Before beginning his legal career, Mr. Gendzwill worked as a chemical engineer and as a technical sales engineer for several Fortune 500 companies including 3M Company and Henkel International.
