Mr. Sullivan has an advanced engineering degree, engineering and business management credentials, and over twenty five years of experience in intellectual property law, corporate law and business litigation. He is a graduate of three highly-ranked universities, and has large, top-tier international law firm experience, in addition to representing a host of early-stage entrepreneurial companies. Mr. Sullivan formed and managed a boutique intellectual property firm in the southwestern United States. Throughout his legal career, he has litigated patent and other complex commercial cases throughout the country. He has been lead counsel in multiple trials and in appeals, and has successfully assisted clients with dispute management and resolution. He has served as general counsel for several companies, including a publicly-traded company in the semiconductor equipment and metrology field. In addition, his experience has included representation of multiple pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and medical device companies, including early-stage companies. He also has managed and participated in multiple corporate merger and acquisition transactions.
Mr. Sullivan advises clients in a range of matters pertaining to intellectual property, product development and related matters. This includes patent prosecution and portfolio management, contracts and licensing, product and brand development, opinion work, and others. Litigation and dispute management form a major part of his practice. Mr. Sullivan, for example, recently prevailed on behalf of his client in a litigated bankruptcy matter involving a contest over license rights in the bankruptcy court for the District of Delaware. He also assists clients in managing their intellectual property through the FDA approval processes and beyond.
